Join a team responsible for maintaining and evolving critical network services supporting a large-scale enterprise environment. We are looking for an experienced Network Specialist who combines strong networking expertise with an interest in cloud technologies, automation, and modern infrastructure practices.

In this role, you'll work across traditional networking, cloud networking, security, and operational support, helping ensure the reliability, performance, and security of business-critical infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure
• Perform physical and logical network changes, including device installation, configuration, upgrades, and decommissioning
• Manage routing, switching, wireless networking, and network security technologies
• Support cloud networking environments in Azure and AWS
• Provide advanced 2nd line support for network and infrastructure-related incidents
• Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operating procedures
• Analyze network performance and recommend improvements to reliability, scalability, and security
• Support infrastructure modernization and automation initiatives
• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality network services

What you bring

• 5+ years of experience in a Network Specialist, Network Engineer, or similar role
• Education at EQF Level 4 or above (or equivalent technical qualification)
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, IP routing, and Ethernet switching protocols
• Good knowledge of network services including DNS, DHCP, and NTP
• Experience configuring and supporting network connectivity for Windows, Linux, and mobile platforms
• Strong understanding of wired and wireless networking technologies, including Wi-Fi and 802.1x/EAP
• Knowledge of application-layer security technologies such as HTTPS, TLS, PKI, and X.509 certificates
• Hands-on experience with enterprise networking hardware, including Cisco routers, switches, wireless controllers, firewalls, or equivalent technologies
• Experience with stateful and stateless traffic filtering in enterprise environments
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and perform effectively under pressure
• CCNA certification or equivalent networking certification
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher (we can assist with the certification if you lack it)

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure networking services
• Experience with AWS networking services
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, Git, or similar automation tools
• Understanding of DevOps concepts, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code
• Scripting experience using Python, PowerShell, or Shell
• Experience working with JSON, YAML, XML, or API-based integrations
• Experience with network automation and infrastructure modernization initiatives

Additional requirements

• Valid Category B driving licence
• Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe
• Ability to perform hands-on installation, cabling, and maintenance of network equipment when required

Please note that this role is only available to freelance/self-employed contractors and requires onsite work in central Warsaw. The initial contract duration is 12 months, with the possibility of extension for up to 50 months. For candidates relocating to Poland, relocation assistance can be provided.
