We are looking for an ICT Data & Information Management Architect to join a project with a European public-sector client in Warsaw.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and governing enterprise-wide data architectures, data platforms, and information management solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, and technical teams to ensure scalable, secure, and data-driven solutions across the organisation.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

• Designing enterprise-wide data and information architectures
• Defining standards for data governance, data catalogues, analytics platforms, and modern data warehousing
• Translating business and technical requirements into sustainable architecture solutions
• Supporting data platform, BI, and analytics initiatives
• Contributing to architecture governance, documentation, and quality assurance
• Collaborating with stakeholders and technical teams throughout the solution lifecycle

Requirements

To excel in this role, you'll need:

• At least 8 years of relevant IT professional experience
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar architecture role
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline
• At least 2 certifications such as IASA CITA-A, CDP Data Engineer, CDP Data Analyst, Microsoft Azure Enterprise Data Analyst Associate, or equivalent
• English at B2 level (CEFR) or higher

Technical Skills

• Strong experience designing enterprise data architectures and information management solutions
• Expertise in Big Data, modern data warehouse architectures, and analytics platforms
• Experience with data governance, data catalogues, and common data models
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, BI, reporting, and visualisation platforms
• Experience with cloud integration patterns, database migration, and data engineering
• Familiarity with Hadoop, Apache Spark, Kafka, and related Big Data technologies
• Strong modelling skills using UML and architecture tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect or ARIS
• Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or Azure Well-Architected Framework
• Understanding of DevSecOps principles and ITIL-based processes

Desirable Experience

• ArchiMate modelling
• AI governance and understanding of the EU AI Act
• Enterprise analytics and advanced data platform implementations
• Public-sector or large enterprise environments

Please note that this role is only available to freelance/self-employed contractors and requires onsite work in central Warsaw. The initial contract duration is 12 months, with the possibility of extension for up to 54 months. For candidates relocating to Poland, relocation assistance can be provided.
