
We are looking for a Cybersecurity Network Security Specialist to join a project with a European public-sector client in Warsaw.
In this role, you will be responsible for administering, monitoring, and troubleshooting enterprise network security solutions across on-premises and cloud environments. You will work closely with infrastructure and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable network services.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Administering, monitoring, and troubleshooting network security solutions
- Providing 2nd line support to network and system users
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation and operational procedures
- Advising on network security improvements, upgrades, and best practices
- Supporting enterprise networking, cloud networking, and Zero Trust initiatives
Requirements
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- At least 5 years of relevant IT professional experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- CCNP Security certification or equivalent vendor certification
- English at B2 level (CEFR) or higher
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, IP routing, and network security policies
- Experience with DNS, DHCP, NTP, and enterprise networking services
- Knowledge of wired and wireless networking technologies (WiFi, 802.1X/EAP)
- Good understanding of HTTPS, SSL/TLS, PKI, and X.509 certificates
- Hands-on experience with routers, switches, wireless controllers, and firewalls
- Experience administering large enterprise networks
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux network configurations
- Experience with stateful and stateless traffic filtering
Desirable Experience
- Palo Alto Firewalls, Panorama, and GlobalProtect
- Cisco switching environments
- VPN design and operations
- NAC and 802.1X implementations
- Azure networking and hybrid connectivity
- SASE / SSE solutions and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA)
- Micro-segmentation and Zero Trust architectures
- WAF and Load Balancing technologies (F5, Cloudflare, Citrix, or similar)
Please note that this role is only available to freelance/self-employed contractors and requires onsite work in central Warsaw. The initial contract duration is 12 months, with the possibility of extension for up to 48 months. For candidates relocating to Poland, relocation assistance can be provided.
