For our client, we are looking for experienced Java Developers to support the long-term development of an established enterprise web application in the field of data protection management (GDPR) and IT security certifications (ISO 27001).

The product is a widely used compliance platform that helps organizations manage privacy regulations and documentation efficiently.

Your Responsibilities

• Further development and maintenance of an established Java enterprise web application in the data protection / GDPR domain
• Implementation of new backend features using Java 11 and Java EE 8 technologies
• Development and maintenance of frontend components based on JSF (XHTML Facelets, PrimeFaces)
• Working with relational databases via JPA/EclipseLink, including entity modeling, queries, and transaction management
• Integration and maintenance of RESTful web services using JAX-RS and Jackson
• Generation of PDF reports using Apache FOP / XSL-FO
• Configuration, deployment, and operation on WildFly / JBoss Application Server
• Writing and maintaining unit tests (JUnit) and end-to-end tests (Cypress)
• Collaborating with the development team to continuously improve the platform and implement new compliance-related functionality

Your Profile

• Several years of professional experience in Java backend development
• Strong experience with Java 11, Java EE / Jakarta EE technologies (CDI, EJB, JAX-RS)
• Experience with JSF-based frontend frameworks, ideally PrimeFaces
• Solid knowledge of JPA / EclipseLink (or similar ORMs) and relational databases
• Experience working with REST APIs and JSON processing
• Experience with Java application servers (WildFly/JBoss, Tomcat, etc.)
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit and Cypress
• Independent, structured way of working and strong problem-solving skills

Language Skills

• Fluent English is required
• German is a strong advantage
